At Cross Stitched Alterations, we like to say we’re the Swiss Army knives of the alterations world—together, there isn’t much we can’t tackle! I’m Tessa Engle, owner and seamstress, and alongside me is Aaliyah, an incredible part of my team. We work hand-in-hand to make sure every client who walks through our doors feels welcomed, cared for, and attended to. From preparing, steaming, and pressing your garments to carefully sewing each piece with the attention it deserves, we take pride in caring for both the garment and the person wearing it. Our shop is warm, welcoming, kid-friendly, and rooted in our love for God and His people. We believe our work is about more than stitches—it’s about serving people, building relationships, and making a positive difference in the lives of those we encounter. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve our community and the surrounding areas, and we look forward to welcoming you into our little shop. CANCELLATION POLICY
At Cross Stitch Alterations, each appointment and garment is given dedicated time, care, and attention. Because alteration work is scheduled specifically for each client, the following cancellation policy applies to **all alteration services**. * Please provide at least (24 hours’ notice ) if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. * Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments or no-shows, are subject to a **$50 cancellation fee**. * Once alteration work has begun, payments for work already completed are **non-refundable**. * Any materials, supplies, special-order items, or outside services purchased specifically for your garment are **non-refundable**. * If you choose to cancel your alterations after your garment has been pinned, measured, prepared, or work has begun, you are responsible for charges associated with the work completed up to that point. * Garments must be picked up promptly following cancellation or completion of services. * Any deposit or payment already applied toward completed alteration work, materials, or applicable fees will not be refunded. I understand that unexpected circumstances can happen, and I will always do my best to work with you when communication is provided. Hello! I’m Tessa, owner of Cross Stitched Alterations. I believe it’s always nice to put a face with the hands that help make your garment complete! Sewing has been part of my life for over 10 years, and after sewing off and on throughout those years, I finally took a leap of faith and opened my own little alterations shop right here in my home. My beginnings may be humble, but my dreams are big! One day, I hope to build my own & be a one stop shop for all. But today, I’m incredibly thankful for where God has placed me and truly blessed and honored to serve my community and the surrounding areas. I’ve had some amazing teachers along the way, and I’m always learning, practicing, and sharpening my skills so I can give each garment—and each person who walks through my door—the care they deserve. If you meet me, you’ll quickly learn that I’m bubbly, warm, and love people! Most importantly, I love Jesus Christ, and I want my little shop to be a place where I can serve His people with kindness, joy, and a genuine heart. Meet Aaliyah, our newest team member! She works behind the scenes handling calls, pickup orders, pressing and steaming, appointments, and caring for garments. For all fittings, pinnings, and alterations, you will work directly with Tessa.
